Ingredients
  

For the Glaze
  • 3 tablespoons White miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons Pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
For the Salmon
  • 4 fillets Salmon fillets Fresh, skin-on
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil For pan-searing
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • Green onions, chopped Optional for garnish

Method
 

For the Glaze
  1. Combine miso paste, maple syrup, soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger and garlic in a bowl until silky smooth, about 1 minute.
  2. Warm sesame oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
For the Salmon
  1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with black pepper.
  2. Place fillets skin-side down and press lightly for 20 seconds, then cook for 3 minutes.
  3. Flip salmon and brush generously with the miso-maple glaze.
  4. Transfer the pan to a 375°F oven and bake for 5-7 minutes until just opaque in the center.
  5. Let the salmon rest on a warm plate for 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and optional sesame seeds.
