How to Make Date-Sweetened Tahini Banana Bars
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and line an 8×8" baking pan with parchment paper.
- Pit and soak Medjool dates in warm water for about ten minutes, until they’re plump.
- In a food processor, combine soaked dates, ripe bananas, tahini, and vanilla extract; blend until smooth.
- In a large bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and sea salt.
- Gently fold the blended date-banana mixture into the dry ingredients using a spatula.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before lifting out and slicing into squares.
