  4. Add rolled oats, chia seeds, and salt to the dates, then pulse until coarse and crumbly.
  5. Drizzle in honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract, then pulse until a thick dough forms.
  6. Transfer and press the dough into the prepared pan to form an even layer.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm; bars should feel solid yet pliable.
