Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large round bread loaf (sourdough or whole grain)
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 1 garlic clove, minced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the bread loaf: Cut the top off the bread loaf and scoop out the inside, creating a hollow bowl. Be sure to reserve the bread pieces for later use.
- Mix the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), half of the shredded cheese, onion soup mix, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed.
- Assemble the loaf: Fill the hollowed bread with the spinach mixture, ensuring it’s evenly distributed. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese over the top of the filling.
- Bake: Place the filled bread on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Serve warm, using the reserved bread pieces for dipping. Enjoy!
