  • 1 taco seasoning packet or homemade seasoning: Customize to your taste.
  • Tortillas: Soft or hard, depending on your preference.
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce: For freshness and crunch.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes: Adds a juicy burst of flavor.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional): Choose your favorite variety.
  • Salsa (optional): For an extra kick.

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Meat: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Once cooked, drain any excess fat.
  2. Sauté the Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing for 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
  3. Incorporate the Mushrooms: Stir in the chopped mushrooms, cooking for about 5 minutes until they soften and meld with the ground meat.
  4. Season the Mixture: Mix in the taco seasoning and add a splash of water to help distribute the flavors evenly. Let it cook for an additional 2 minutes.
