Cranberry Sauce with Orange Zest Recipe

  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cranberries and remove any that are soft or discolored.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, and sugar. Stir well to ensure the sugar begins to dissolve.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer.
  4. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. You will notice the cranberries starting to pop and break down, releasing their juices.
  5. Add the orange zest and cinnamon, mixing well to incorporate the flavors throughout the sauce.
  6. Let the sauce cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it until you are ready to serve.
