Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon (for swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan to prevent sticking.
- In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix well to ensure even distribution.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Make sure the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, gently mixing them together until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix, as this can result in a tougher bread texture.
- In a small bowl, prepare the swirl mixture by mixing the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
- Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture evenly over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter to the pan, spreading it gently over the cinnamon layer. Top with the rest of the swirl mixture.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the cinnamon mixture through the batter. This creates a beautiful marbled effect in the bread.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, indicating the bread is fully cooked.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
