  • Author: David

Ingredients

Scale

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour

    • ½ cup cocoa powder

    • 1 tsp baking powder

    • ½ tsp baking soda

    • ¼ tsp salt

    • ½ cup sugar or your preferred sweetener

    • 1 cup milk, dairy or plant-based

    • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil

    • 1 tsp vanilla extract

    • ½ cup chocolate chips

Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

    1. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Ensure all dry ingredients are well combined.

    1. In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil, and vanilla extract until well blended.

    1. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix the batter.

    1. Fold in chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.

    1. Fill muffin liners 2/3 full with batter to allow room for rising.

    1. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    1. Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
